Welcome to the SG-1000 Junkyard!

What started out as a tongue-in-cheek April Fool's Day joke over at our sibling site The Dreamcast Junkyard, the notion of an SG-1000 focused blog continued to play on our minds and has taken root, leading to the decision to start taking the idea somewhat seriously. Welcome to the SG-1000 Junkyard!

  1. So happy to begin this journey discovering segas dim and distant hard ware past. I have to say I find early sega stuff very sexy, they kept that up until the master system 2 and mega drive 2 were released.

  2. This is excellent. I see good potential in this, it would give the SG-1000 + Mark series more recognition and exposure in the west which it didn't really get initially (especially in America) - where it's generally considered just a the Master System fetus/prototype and mainly just consigned to a footnote to what eventually became the Master System.

If it takes off, any plans for a Facebook page?

  3. I would love it if this site continued on the way the early DCJY did. Stories of drunken debauchery interspersed with references to page 3 girls, fist fights, bad mid 2000 movies and only eating pot noodles (or would that be Mrs Macs pies) because there is no money left after buying way too many SG-1000 games.
